Profile

Mariah Holguin is a Sophomore at the University of Texas at San Antonio studying Nursing.  Mariah is ranked 52nd on the IJF Olympic Ranking List at 57kg.  Mariah is the top ranked U18 and U21 athlete in the U.S.. She is ranked 2nd on the Senior Elite Roster at 57kg.  Mariah was a member of the 2015 Cadet World Team and the 2015 Junior World Team. After suffering a serious leg injury in Taiwan in 2017 she rebounded in 2018.  In 2018 she became the youngest US Female competitor to win a Grand Slam match.  She also was the youngest on the 2018 Senior Pan American Team.  In July Mariah won her spot onto the 2018 Junior World Team.  She then competed on the USA Sambo Pan American Team and earned a Bronze Medal.  In June of 2019 Mariah won her first International Senior Level Gold at the Pan American Open Quito.  This win earned her a spot on the USA Judo Senior World Team that will competed in August in Tokyo at the 2020 Olympic Venue.
